Stoney Road Press’ illustrated edition of James Joyce’s “The Dead” will feature in Bloomsday celebrations across the globe this year.

The Norwegian launch of “The Dead” will happen at “The Night of The Dead” as part of Oslo’s Bloomsday celebrations. This event will feature dramatized readings by the actor Declan Gorman, and is organized by Irish Art, Oslo and the specialist bookshop Cappelens Forslag.

"The Dead” will also feature in the Bloomsday in Hong Kong celebrations at a special event with illustrator Robert Berry. An exhibition of illustrations from the book will accompany a talk by the artist and readings from Joyce’s works.

Published by Stoney Road Press and the James Joyce Centre, Dublin in 2014 to mark the centenary of the publication of “Dubliners”, "The Dead" is a letterpress hand-made limited edition book, featuring original illustrations by Robert Berry, and an introduction by Joycean scholar Senator David Norris. "Tear i" by Dorothy Cross at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition

Dorothy Cross' "Tear i" will be on view at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition from 8th June to 16th August 2015.

Published by Stoney Road Press in 2009, "Tear i" is from a series of five intaglio prints, in which sections of an engraving Cross found in an old family bible are enlarged and overlaid with photographs of crashing waves.

As Cross writes, "In this set of prints, photography meets engraving and ocean meets sections of the body. Narrative and nature are momentarily stilled."
