Launch of 'The Dead'

1pm Sunday 15th June in The Little Museum of Dublin

This Sunday, Stoney Road Press and The James Joyce Centre will be launching "The Dead" - a new limited edition book of Joyce's short story, featuring illustrations by Robert Berry and an introduction by Senator David Norris.

The book will be launched at 1pm in The Little Museum of Dublin on Stephen's Green this Sunday 15th of June, one-hundred years since the original publication of Dubliners. Senator David Norris will introduce the book, and there will be an exhibition of the drawings made for the book by graphic artist Robert Berry (Ulysses Seen). Stoney Road Press at Multiplied Art Fair

Stoney Road Press has just returned from the 2013 Multiplied art fair in London. This was our fourth year exhibiting at Multiplied, a fair which specialises in contemporary art editions, and it was another great opportunity to show our prints to the UK audience. Art for Amnesty Ambassador of Conscience Awards

Stoney Road Press was at the Mansion House last Tuesday evening to join Amnesty International in honouring Malala Yousafzai and Harry Bellafonte with the Ambassador of Conscience Award. Having worked with Art for Amnesty for a number of years, we were happy to be able to contribute in a small way by producing the citations awarded to two such inspiring pioneers for human rights.


Malala Yousafzai has spent the majority of her young life campaigning for girls' right to education in the face of terroism from the Taliban in her native Pakistan. She has received many awards for her work, including being nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. She was presented with her Ambassador of Conscience Award on the night by Bono.


Harry Bellafonte has long been a activist for civil rights since his campaigning against racism with Martin Luther King in the 1950s. He has worked for many causes, particularly in Africa, and is a Unicef goodwill ambassador. Roger Waters was joined by Petula Clarke to present him with his Ambassador of Conscience award.
